Can you grasp the enormity of that number?? That’s roughly 45% of the world’s population. Crazy, right?

What’s even crazier is that:

  1. Many small local businesses are not included in that number
  2. Those that are on social media hardly understand how to best make use of their platforms to gain more customers, boost their income, and scale their businesses

So, yes, the number IS high, but who does it include?

One word: CONSUMERS.

And these consumers are disproportionate to the small local businesses currently active on social media. Ouch.

These consumers aka your potential customers – nearly half the planet’s population, may I remind – are on social media daily for an average of three hours/day according to recent statistics. And they’re all at your fingertips.

…or, perhaps they aren’t, since you ditched Facebook and Twitter years ago, and you don’t even know how to use Instagram!

But don’t fret, any business can get back on its proverbial feet with a good nudge in the right direction. And that direction is…

But you’ve got to do it right. Not have your four-year-old share funny cat Gifs on it.

The number of social media users worldwide may be at 3.5 billion now, but it is staggeringly increasing. That goes to show that whoever gets their business out on social media today can only expect growth, growth, and…growth again.

So what about your business?

Have you considered amping up your social media presence?
